Level 2 Award In Understanding Mental Wellbeing

Description

Course info:

The RSPH Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Well-being gives learners a solid foundation in what mental well-being means, how it affects individuals and communities, and how it can be promoted and maintained. The course covers the impact of attitudes and beliefs about mental health, explores models of mental wellbeing, and examines common mental health conditions.

Learners will also study the factors that influence mental well-being, including social, emotional, environmental, and cognitive contributors, and learn practical strategies, like the “Five Ways to Wellbeing” to support themselves and others. The qualification includes discussion of how relationships, community, purpose, and environment can improve or harm mental well-being.

This qualification takes around 8 hours in total (with 7 hours of guided learning) and is assessed via a multiple-choice exam. It is ideal for anyone who wants to support others’ mental well-being, whether in a professional, voluntary or community setting, or simply to gain a deeper understanding of how to look after their own mental health.
